“To view the client as a person to be understood and accepted, rather than an object to be analyzed or evaluated.” -Unknown
Over the last six years, I have accrued clinical experiences working with culturally diverse individuals, including children, adults, and families with a variety of mental health concerns. I have worked in community mental health, inpatient, outpatient, short-term residential, and elementary school settings. My areas of specialization and interest include working with individuals who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, addiction and substance misuse, attachment issues, insomnia, and chronic pain.
In psychotherapy, I use an integration of strength-based, process-oriented, and solution-focused approach to engage client in an open and collaborative treatment process. my theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while integrating fundamental humanistic aspects of honesty and genuineness and psychodynamic perspectives in my work with clients. I strive to assist each client to live to his or her fullest potential and restore the self-love, respect, and interpersonal connections that may have been lost or forgotten.
