Choosing to go to therapy can be scary. I am committed to providing compassionate and effective care and am passionate about supporting individuals on their journey toward improved mental health and overall quality of life.
Therapy is a journey toward a deeper understanding of self, our needs, and our ability to live our most authentic lives. Our suffering often stems from disconnection, a lack of meaningful connections, and living in a narrative where we are not the heroes of our own stories.
I aim to create a space where we can collaborate to address these challenges. Central to my approach is the therapeutic relationship, which serves as a cornerstone for fostering positive behavioral change and emotional well-being. By creating a safe and empathetic environment, I collaborate closely with clients to explore challenges, set meaningful goals, and achieve sustainable growth.
I specialize in working with individuals dealing with anxiety and substance misuse. I work with clients from a trauma-informed lens and utilize approaches from CBT, ACT, and DBT. However, I believe a holistic approach that prioritizes your specific goals works best.
I am a San Diego native. I love to travel and have lived in multiple countries and states but ultimately returned to America’s finest city. You can find me spearfishing, backpacking, playing pickleball or volleyball, or just enjoying the outdoors when I am off duty.
Additional training: I am trained in EMDR and holotropic breathwork.
I earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, Malibu, CA, and a Master’s Degree in Philosophy from New York University (NYU), New York, NY. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of San Diego (USD), San Diego, California, with a Major in Philosophy and a Minor in Psychology. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT#146515) who is currently obtaining hours toward licensure under the supervision of Dr. Julia Rosengren.
